Sony has made a statement in India by launching its largest television to date, and the price tag alone is enough to turn heads. The newly introduced 115-inch BRAVIA 9II arrives with an MRP of ₹45,99,900 and a Best Buy price of ₹28,99,990. That puts a home entertainment setup in the same financial bracket as a luxury SUV.
The 115-inch BRAVIA 9II carries an MRP of ₹45,99,900, while Sony’s Best Buy price is ₹28,99,990. At nearly ₹29 lakh, this TV sits in the same price territory as some luxury cars.
Sony unveiled the giant television at an event in New Delhi as part of its push into the ultra-premium home entertainment market.
115-Inch 4K Display With Sony’s True RGB Technology
The biggest attraction here is obviously the 115-inch screen.
The BRAVIA 9II uses a 4K LCD panel with Sony’s True RGB technology. Instead of relying on a conventional Mini LED backlight, Sony’s RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro independently controls red, green and blue LEDs.
The idea is fairly straightforward. By controlling the three primary colours separately, Sony aims to achieve more accurate colours, stronger contrast and higher brightness while keeping unwanted colour blooming under control.
The TV also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, along with Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. Sony has included several of its picture-processing technologies as well, including XR Contrast Booster, XR Motion Clarity and XR Clear Image.
There is also X-Wide Angle Pro for maintaining colour consistency when viewing the TV from the side, along with Luminance Booster Pro and Smooth Colour Gradation.
Interestingly, Sony has left out Immersive Black Screen Pro on the 115-inch model, even though the feature is available on other BRAVIA 9II variants.
A 12-Speaker Sound System Is Built In
Sony isn’t treating the audio system as an afterthought either.
The 115-inch BRAVIA 9II comes with a 12-speaker Acoustic Multi-Audio+ system consisting of two subwoofers, eight full-range speakers and two tweeters.
The setup supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Audio and DTS and is designed to create a more immersive soundstage directly from the television, potentially reducing the need for a separate sound system in a large living room.
Of course, anyone spending nearly ₹29 lakh on a television could probably afford a fairly serious home theatre setup as well.
Google TV, Gemini and Plenty of Gaming Features
The BRAVIA 9II runs Google TV, giving users access to major streaming services, personalised recommendations and voice controls.
Sony has also confirmed that Gemini for Google TV is coming through a future over-the-air software update. Once available, it will bring AI-powered search and voice interactions to supported TVs.
For gamers, Sony has included HDMI 2.1 features such as 4K at 120Hz, Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode and eARC.
The TV also supports Sony’s Auto HDR Tone Mapping feature for the PlayStation 5, making it particularly interesting for people who want a giant screen for console gaming.
Sony has gone seriously big with its latest television launch in India.
Sony Is Also Expanding the BRAVIA 9II and 7II Lineups
You don’t necessarily need to spend ₹29 lakh to get Sony’s latest True RGB technology. Sony has also expanded its BRAVIA lineup with more conventional screen sizes.

Sony Is Clearly Targeting the Home Theatre Market
With the 115-inch BRAVIA 9II, Sony isn’t really competing for the average living-room television buyer.
At nearly ₹29 lakh, this is a product aimed squarely at buyers who want a dedicated home theatre experience without going down the projector route.
The interesting part is that Sony is betting on massive-screen premium TVs becoming more desirable in India, particularly as consumers increasingly look for cinema-style entertainment at home.
Whether spending nearly ₹29 lakh on a television makes sense is another question entirely. But one thing is certain: 115 inches is a lot of television, and Sony has made sure everyone knows it.
Impact and Availability in India
For those looking at slightly more modest screen sizes, the wider BRAVIA 9II and BRAVIA 7II lineups are also rolling out across major online platforms and offline retail channels in India. The BRAVIA 9II series includes a 75-inch model priced at a Best Buy rate of ₹5,39,990 (MRP ₹8,39,900) and an 85-inch variant listing at a Best Buy price of ₹6,69,990 (MRP ₹9,89,900). Meanwhile, the BRAVIA 7II series begins at ₹2,21,990 for the 55-inch version, stretching up to ₹5,29,990 for the 85-inch model.
