There are many Wireless Bluetooth Neckband available markets. Realme released its Realme Buds Wireless neckband, which comes under the price range of 1800 RS.I’m using this neckband from the past 3 months. So let’s find out, does it stand out from this competitive market?
Design and Build Quality
Talking about the design and build quality, it comes with a flexible neckband with the metallic covering at each end, holding it gives the solid feel in hand. Wearing neckband for long hours is comfortable as it Surprisingly, lights weights 30g. Earbuds come with 11.5mm Audio Driver with Bluetooth 5, which supports SBC and ACC code format. Neckband also comes with sweat-proof with IP64 certification, which means you can use the buds during workout sessions as well. On day to day basis, you can easily get 8 hours of music time with a full charge, as it took around 3 hours to complete charge.
Out of Box, you will get neckband with pre-attached ear wing to earbuds
Three extra pairs of silicone ear tips, charging cable, and instruction manual.
The right side of neckband you will get three buttons volume up, volume down and the middle button to play/pause music or to pick up calls, a long press of a middle button will trigger google assistance along with that there is USB Type B Charging port. Turning On is pretty simple as both earpieces come with magnetic pairing. Once they are separated, it will turn them on, and once they are attached, it will turn it off this will be indicated by small led while device pairing blue led will blink and while charging red light remains constant.
Now talking about the sound quality, Vocals and instrumentals are clear and balanced. If you like EDM, Hip Hop music, then you will love it as the bass is boosted on it as Songs with high bass sounds perfect, but on some songs, it feels like the bass is overpowered as vocals get overshadow because of higher bass. Still, sound quality is pretty impressive in this price range.
In a quiet environment, I didn’t face any difficulty having a conversation, but in a noisy environment, mic used to pick noise from very far distance mic. As a result, people from the receiver side generally used to point out of background noise is much more while having a conversation.
Things which can be improved in the next version can be
- In Mic Background noise can be minimized.
- Type C Charging Port can be provided, now if you are carrying Type C charger then additionally you need to carry micro USB type b cable with it.
- Buttons on Right hand side can be separated, as sometimes pressing the middle button doesn’t respond.
- Magnetic Pairing to turn off can be improved, as the problem here is if you put your neckband in your bag, and accidentally earbuds get unpaired, then it will turn on. Neckband and start searching for nearby devices as it consumes battery unnecessarily. Some toggle switch can be given to turn off neckband.
Wrapping up things which I like on this is build quality, amplified bass, and battery backup as on this price point, Realme Wireless Buds offers value for money.
